How to report copyright infringement on the Services, and how to contest a report.

Last updated: July 15, 2026

1. Scope

Parts of the Services carry user-submitted content, such as support attachments and shared configurations. If you believe something a user submitted infringes your copyright, this page is the process. It follows the notice-and-takedown framework of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512).

2. Filing a notice

Send your notice to hello@terminusclient.com with the subject "DMCA". To be valid it must include:

  • Identification of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed
  • Identification of the infringing material and enough information for us to locate it (a URL or an exact description of where it lives in the Services)
  • Your name, address, telephone number, and email address
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act for them
  • Your physical or electronic signature

Incomplete notices may be ignored. Knowingly misrepresenting that material infringes exposes you to liability under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), so do not use this process for content you merely dislike.

3. What we do with it

On receiving a valid notice we remove or disable access to the material promptly, notify the user who submitted it, and keep a copy of the notice for our records.

4. Counter-notice

If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, send a counter-notice to the same address including:

  • Identification of the removed material and where it appeared before removal
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the removal was a mistake or misidentification
  • Your name, address, and telephone number, and consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if outside the United States, any judicial district in which we may be found)
  • Your physical or electronic signature

If the original claimant does not notify us within 10 to 14 business days that they have filed a court action, we may restore the material.

5. Repeat infringers

Accounts that repeatedly submit infringing content are terminated. A terminated license is not refunded.
